BRNO, Czech Republic — The BRNO Lions are pleased to announce the signing of American forward Connor Kellyfor the upcoming season.

A native of Leesburg, Virginia, Kelly is a 2006-born, right-shot forward who stands 5’10” and 185 pounds. Primarily listed as a center, Kelly brings the Lions experience from multiple levels of American junior and AAA hockey.

Kelly developed through the Reston Raiders and Skipjacks Hockey Club before progressing into junior hockey. His résumé includes time with the Valley Jr. Warriors and Connecticut Chiefs organizations before moving on to the New Jersey Titans, Springfield Jr. Pics and Carolina Rage.

Most recently, Kelly has competed with the Springfield Jr. Pics in the USPHL Premier. He also suited up for the Carolina Rage in the NA3HL, where he produced 19 points in 21 games with 6 goals and 13 assists. Across his listed Carolina Rage and Springfield Jr. Pics totals, Kelly recorded 33 points in 51 games.

Kelly gives BRNO another versatile forward capable of contributing in several situations. His background as a center should provide additional strength through the middle of the ice, while his experience playing both center and right wing gives the coaching staff flexibility throughout the lineup. His recruiting profile also lists previous experience on both the power play and penalty kill.

At 185 pounds, Kelly brings a solid frame along with a competitive style suited to the demands of junior hockey. His progression through AAA and junior programs has exposed him to different roles and systems, and he now takes the next step in his career by bringing that experience overseas to Brno.

The move to Europe represents a new challenge for the Virginia native and an opportunity to continue developing his game in a different hockey environment.

The BRNO Lions are excited to welcome Connor Kelly to the organization.

Welcome to Brno, Connor.
