BRNO Lions Sign Virginia Forward Alex Kryukov

BRNO, Czech Republic — The BRNO Lions are proud to announce the signing of American forward Alex Kryukov for the upcoming season.

The 2006-born forward comes to BRNO from Ashburn, Virginia, and will wear #28 for the Lions. A right-handed shot, Kryukov most recently played with the Fort Wayne Spacemen of the USPHL Premier, adding another North American junior hockey product to the Lions’ roster.  

Kryukov brings a competitive and energetic presence to the forward group. His game is built around pace, effort and a willingness to compete for possession. He is comfortable attacking with the puck while also working away from it, giving the Lions another forward capable of fitting into different situations throughout the lineup.

As a younger player making the transition to European hockey, Kryukov will have an opportunity to continue developing his game while adapting to the speed, space and style of play in Czechia.

The Lions believe that experience will be an important next step for the Virginia native. His time in the American junior system has provided him with a foundation that he can now build upon in BRNO.

Kryukov becomes another young American addition to a Lions roster bringing together players from across North America, Europe and beyond.

Now, a new chapter begins.
