BRNO Lions Sign Defensemen Jaxsen Healey

BRNO, Czech Republic — The BRNO Lions are proud to announce the signing of Canadian defensemen Jaxsen Healey for the upcoming season.

Healey, a native of Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, joins BRNO after playing with the St. John’s Jr. Caps in the St. John’s Junior Hockey League. The 2006-born defensemen is listed at 6’2”, 179 lbs, shoots left, and brings size, reach, and a strong defensive profile to the Lions’ blue line.

A steady presence on the back end, Healey plays the game with composure, awareness, and a team-first mentality. His size allows him to defend effectively in tough areas, close space quickly, and make life difficult for opposing forwards. With his reach and physical tools, he has the ability to break up plays, win battles along the boards, and provide stability in the defensive zone.

Healey also brings the kind of competitive edge that fits the identity BRNO is building. He is a defenseman who takes pride in playing responsibly, supporting his teammates, and making the simple plays that help a team win. His style of play gives the Lions another reliable option on the blue line and adds important depth to the defensive group.

For BRNO, Healey represents another young player with strong upside and the opportunity to continue developing in a competitive European environment. His left-shot profile, size, and commitment to playing a hard, honest game make him a strong addition as the Lions continue building toward the upcoming season.

The BRNO Lions would like to officially welcome Jaxsen Healey to the organization.
