Brno Lions Name Róbert Mokrohajský Head Coach for 2026–2027 Season

The Brno Lions Hockey Club are proud to announce the appointment of Róbert Mokrohajský as Head Coach for the 2026–2027 season.

Mokrohajský joins the Lions with a strong coaching background in Czech and Slovak hockey, bringing experience in player development, junior competition, and senior-level environments. His track record of working with emerging talent and helping players progress makes him a strong addition as the Lions prepare for their inaugural season in the European University Championship Hockey League (EUCHL).

Over the past several seasons, Mokrohajský has held coaching roles across multiple levels of the game. He served as Assistant Coach with Technika Hockey Brno’s U18 team in 2021–2022 before moving to the club’s U20 program in 2022–2023. In 2023–2024, he worked as Assistant Coach and Manager with HC Muni.

Most recently, Mokrohajský was Head Coach of MHKM Skalica U20 during the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 seasons. During that time, he also served as Assistant Coach with HK Skalica and as Skills Coach with Warriors Brno.
As the Brno Lions continue building their roster and staff ahead of the club’s first campaign, Mokrohajský’s experience developing young players and leading competitive programs will be key to establishing the team’s identity on and off the ice.

The Brno Lions look forward to welcoming Róbert Mokrohajský to the organization and to the exciting road ahead in 2026–2027.
