BRNO Lions Add Young American Defensemen Ashton Duchini

BRNO, Czech Republic — The BRNO Lions are excited to announce the signing of American defensemen Ashton Duchini for the upcoming season.

A 2007-born blue-liner from the United States, Duchini joins the Lions after continuing his development in one of North America’s competitive junior hockey environments. As a young defenseman, he has steadily built a reputation as a reliable, hard-working player who competes in all three zones while continuing to develop every aspect of his game.  

Duchini brings a strong defensive mindset to the BRNO blue line. He plays with confidence, keeps a good gap through the neutral zone, and uses his skating to move pucks efficiently out of danger. His willingness to battle along the boards, block shots, and make smart first passes makes him a dependable presence whenever he’s on the ice.

Beyond his defensive play, Duchini has shown the ability to contribute offensively by supporting the rush, creating clean breakouts, and making quick decisions with the puck. As a 2007-born prospect, he still has significant room for growth, and the BRNO coaching staff is excited to help him continue reaching his potential.

Adding Duchini strengthens an already promising defensive corps as the Lions continue assembling a roster built around youth, character, and long-term development.
