BRNO Lions Add Power Forward Chad Niederman
BRNO, Czech Republic — The BRNO Lions are proud to announce the signing of American forward Chad Niederman for the upcoming season.

The Gloucester City, New Jersey native brings a combination of size, physicality and offensive ability to the Lions’ forward group. Born in 2008, Niederman stands 6’1”, 201 lbs, shoots right, and has developed a playing style built around using his frame, competing physically and creating opportunities with the puck.
Elite Prospects classifies Niederman as a Heavy Hitter, Playmaker and Power Forward, a combination that fits the competitive identity the Lions are building in BRNO.
Niederman joins the Lions following a strong 2025–26 campaign with the Atlantic City Seals in the EHLP, recording 12 goals and 23 assists for 35 points in 31 games. His production of more than a point per game highlights the offensive dimension he brings alongside his physical style.
His season also included an impressive stretch in which he registered six points over three games, earning EHLP Mid-Atlantic Star of the Week recognition.
But Niederman’s game extends beyond his production.
At 201 pounds, he brings a physical presence capable of competing through contact, battling along the boards and creating space for both himself and his linemates. His ability to combine that strength with playmaking makes him an intriguing addition to the Lions’ forward group.
Niederman has also demonstrated leadership during his development, previously serving as captain of the Igloo Jaguars 15U AA. That experience, combined with his physical style and offensive development in the EHLP, gives BRNO another young player prepared to take the next step in his career.
The move to Europe now presents Niederman with a new challenge and an opportunity to continue developing his game in a different hockey environment.
The BRNO Lions are excited to officially welcome Chad Niederman to the organization.
Welcome to BRNO, Chad.
